Country House
Sonoma County, California

Set among the fields and vineyards in the Sonoma Valley, a dark suburban-styled ranch was transformed into this bright, airy vacation house appropriate for its country location. The rear of the existing structure was demolished to create a new, beamed-ceiling great room that orients the house toward the trellis covered deck, grassy yard and swimming pool beyond. Interior and exterior materials are rustic, yet tailored and classic.
