Shingle Style Estate
Hillsborough, California

After numerous additions by previous owners, the family aimed to bring their much loved house and garden back to what it could have been, but never was.  By careful removal of extraneous built elements, and the thoughtful addition of new elements, the house has been reorganized inside and out.  All exterior finishes were updated with elegant components and details, in keeping with the house’s shingle-style vernacular. The interiors spaces were designed with clear connections between each other, and to the outside.
